A recipient of the BAFTA LA® (BRITISH ACADEMY OF FILM & TELEVISION ARTS LOS ANGELES®) PRIZE at the 2011 Mill Valley Film Festival, the film is directed and produced by James Francis Khehtie. A nominee for BEST SHORT FICTION FILM at the prestigious 2012 AFI (Australian Film Institute) Awards, THE TELEGRAM MAN was part of the 2011 Academy Awards®-accredited Palm Springs International ShortFest, as well as the 2011 Academy Awards®-accredited Rhode Island International Film Festival, where it was awarded BEST SHORT HONORABLE MENTION. The film had the great honour to receive an invitation to screen to a crowd of 6000 pilgrims at the 2012 ANZAC (Australian & New Zealand Army Corps) Day Commemoration on 25th April 2012 in Gallipoli, Turkey. ANZAC Day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during World War I.
